About deliclub kensington

deliCLUB is a family-owned business that started out as one store in 2010 in Martínez, a small town near Argentina’s capital city, Buenos Aires; located on a tranquil street near a local train station. It became a cozy deli-café and a favorite spot for everyone in the neighborhood. It was so successful that it gradually expanded to other neighborhoods including a store at the US Embassy in Buenos Aires. 

Soledad Ivaldi, the owner for deliCLUB Kensington, is proud to offer her family business to our community; however, this isn't the first time she shared deliClub with Kensington.  

In 2017, she had a small menu offering at the Kensington Farmers Market. Many patrons stopped weekly for her delicious sandwiches, soups, and salads. It became such a popular stop that people asked about offering her menu for weeknight meals too. After a few years, she decided to open deliCLUB as a storefront in Kensington; on a tranquil street near a local train station and offer you the same caring experience as it is done in Argentina. 

deliCLUB Kensington is a place to eat delicious food, shop at the gourmet market featuring wine, cheeses, and meat, and enjoy delicious coffee and artisan drinks. Most importantly, it is a culturally-rich offering for our community. 

Soledad immigrated from Argentina to the US in 2002 to pursue her Ph.D. in Biology at the Johns Hopkins University. After she earned her degree, she moved to Kensington where she spent more than seven years at the NIH as a molecular biologist. While working in the laboratory was fulfilling, she knew her true passion was cooking. 

She made every opportunity to share her family's recipes; whether it was at friends' gatherings or at International Night at her children's elementary and middle schools. Being able to share her love for cooking with friends and with the community, she knew this is what she wanted to do.
